From Appearance Protection to Remote Starts, Alarms, Speakers and Amps, his department does it all.

With Matts twelve years of experience, he and his crew have been able to handle automotive detailing and accessory installation more efficiently and economically, bringing the cost and time savings right back to our customers.

So what will make your car happy? A remote start or maybe an alarm for security? Maybe a radio upgrade with the best speakers. Could it be Paint or Fabric protection? Even if it’s just a full detail, a clean car is a happy car. So give Matt a call at 847-856-3006 and he’ll handle the rest.

Nick wasn’t always a car salesperson though, for you see long before Nick was a star here at Anthony he was Dealer Trading Kirby Vacuum cleaners. That’s right he sold Kirbys and if he didn’t have the model you wanted he would drive for hours to find the right one. Not the right color, no problem, back in the car and on his way. Customers all over Mchenry county are still happy today with that special Kirby they bought from the King of Trades, our boy nick.

Now due to our vast inventory Nick is usually able to find that perfect car right here on our lot and his highway miles have been greatly reduced, but not a day goes by that he doesn’t take pause and remember those great days on the road.

Next time your in, stop and say hello to the King of Trades, our own Nick Smoot.

Anthony Buick GMC was proud to join its employees in helping to sponsor the 2011 Ride for Kids. Our own Lance Legler took part in the ride that started and ended in Madison Wisconsin, included some three hundred miles and over four hundred motorcycles.

The fundraiser was for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Brain tumors are the deadliest form of childhood cancer, with 76% being younger than 15. 4 out of 10 children with a brain tumor die within five years and every day 10 more children are diagnosed.

This was Lance’s fourteenth year helping to raise money for this worthy cause and he collected over $2000, this year alone, to help find a cure.

We want to thank everyone who contributed and supported his effort and he promises that until a cure is found, he will ride again.

Anthony Auto Group is proud to sponsor local angler Jim McDonald as he competes in the Master Walleye Circut throughout the central region. Below is a note we received from Jim just a day ago during the Lake Erie Tournament

Saturday we arrived at Sandusky, Ohio. We got our motel room and boat ready for the next day. We woke up to a 30-mph sustained wind out of the northeast that lasted for 5 days! Eight to twelve-foot waves kept us from pre fishing on the lake until late Thursday afternoon. The tournament started Friday morning. During pre fishing we found a good spot fairly close to the ramp where we could catch 7 to 8-pound fish fairly easily.

The tournament began with a four-hour fog delay. When we were let go at 11:00, we could see approximately 2 miles, but once we got three miles off shore, we could not see 100 feet in front of our faces, going 40 mph. Being fairly new to this body of water, we were unsure of how to react to the weather conditions and water current conditions due to wind change overnight. So, we just fished the one spot we were able to fish during the week, and caught two small fish. The water in that area had turned dingy brown, and the fish were reluctant to bite.

Saturday was a much better start–sunny conditions, we were able to find clean water, and started the day with a 28-inch and a 27-inch fish. We had huge ground to make up–we needed at least an 11-pound average for a five fish limit to come close to cashing a check. We ended up catching only 27 pounds the second day, which put us just over 32 total for the two days. We were 69th place out of 83 boats. (very frustrating, since we took all those days off work to try to get to know the water!) The teams that did risked their well-being by running in the fog all the way to Canada (about 35 miles) to get the winning fish…not a safe thing to do!

I will be in Thursday to pick up signs for the next event in Red Wing, Minnesota. Thanks again for your sponsorship. Jim

Good luck in Minnesota Jim, from the whole Anthony family.
